She graduated from Ysleta High School and later began working for the Farah Company, where she remained for 9 years. In 1980 Cristina began working at Thomason Hospital, which later became University Medical Center, and retired in 2016 after 36 years of loyal service.
Cristina enjoyed spending time with her family, watching football, and playing volleyball, not only for the P.T.A of Ysleta Elementary School, where she volunteered for 5 years but also at Thomason Hospital. Cristina's greatest passion was dancing. There wasn't a song or beat she couldn't resist. At New Year's dances, family get-togethers, or parties when all others got tired she kept going seemingly tirelessly.
Cristina was born to the late Ramon Sr. and Soledad Macias. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Macias; her son Michael Macias; and her daughter Michele Macias and 4 grandchildren; Benjamin Thaddeus Wilson, Olivia Ray Wilson, Xavier Jase Wilson, and Ada Soledad Pool Macias.
She is also survived by her siblings; Carmen Cedillo, Bertha Garza, (Robert), and Arturo Macias (Laura).
She was preceded in death by her brothers Ramon Jr, Enrique, Miguel, Ricardo, Bernardo, and sisters Irene and Maria.
She will be sorely missed.
