Dan was born May 2, 1971, in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Hanks High Schools and attended college at UTEP, ACC and TCU. Dan was a superintendent for MPC in Denver. He was incredibly intelligent and remarkably witty. Dan loved adventure and spending time with his family and friends. He had a wide range of hobbies: skiing, cooking, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and not to mention genius with computers. He was never hesitant to lend a hand or give guidance when we needed his help.
Dan had a short but courageous battle with an aggressive lung disease. We hoped for a lung transplant but his body couldn’t continue the fight. He passed away surrounded by his family and friends in prayer commending his soul to the Lord. His family would like to extend a special thanks to his girlfriend, Emma, for being there day after day, and to Fr. Joe and Veronica, for their emotional and spiritual support. We are extremely grateful for the excellent medical treatment and attention he received at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver and UC Health University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora.
Dan is survived by his parents, Carlos Enrique and Elena; his son, Antonio Isaiah; his brothers, Rene (Raquel), Charles (Valerie), Carlos Ricardo (Sue), and Alejandro (Sandra); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Thank you Lord, for the time we had with Dan. Although it was short, the time we shared with him was happy and full of laughs. His wit, intelligence, selflessness, and love will always be remembered and part of our lives. Thank you for allowing us to demonstrate our love to him, never leaving his side. Thank you Lord, for caring for him and for being with us when You called him home. Thank you Lord, for Your peace in our hearts. Without You, there would be no comfort or consolation. We have faith that we will be with Dan again and that he will help us on our journey home to You, Lord. We hold on to You Lord to give us Peace; the Peace that only You can give. Amen.
We are grateful for the laughs and smiles he gave us. He made a great impact on many people's lives and we are thankful for our time with him. He will forever be missed and will hold a special place in our hearts.
