

David L. Foster, 86, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016. He was born in Oklahoma where he resided until finishing high school. He came to El Paso in 1950 and started a trucking business but was called to service his country. He joined the Navy in 1951, and served 4 years in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean, two daughters Lana White of San Antonio, Terri Lee Foster of El Paso and a granddaughter, Natalie White who was his pride and joy. After serving in the Navy, he returned to El Paso and was employed at Texaco and El Paso Refinery for over 30+ years until retirement. He was a dedicated Christian and served the Lord as a member and Deacon at Immanuel and First Baptist Church. He was always willing to help family, friends and neighbors at the drop of a hat. He was loved and respected by his family and friends and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on November 1, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Hillcrest. Funeral Service will be held on November 2, 2016 at 11:00am at Hillcrest with Interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery ETA: 1:00pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations can be made to the Alzheimer Association of El Paso or First Baptist Church Missions in his name.
