a cherished wife, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at her home in, El Paso, Texas. Born in Marfa to Joe F. Herrera and Lilia Herrera, Delfa grew up in Marfa, Texas, and graduated from Marfa High School with the class of 1960. She worked at Casita Linda Mexican Restaurant on Hondo Pass for many years and her deep roots in the community shaped her warm, generous spirit and unwavering devotion to family.
In 1962, Delfa married the love of her life, Segundino “Sonny” Razo, in a heartfelt ceremony in Marfa. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew them. Delfa’s kindness, resilience, and quiet strength touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Delfa is survived by her devoted husband, Segundino “Sonny” Razo, and her beloved sister, Elodia “Ellie” Valles. Preceded in death: Joe F, Lilia, sons Joe D and Oscar V. Herrera. Delfa’s legacy lives on through the countless nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will always remember her as a loving aunt with a heart full of warmth and wisdom.
Visitation will be held on September 26, 2025 at 12 p.m. with a Rosary at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located at 2709 Alabama St. with a Mass to follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her.
