Dillard "Dale" Cunningham

Dillard (Dale) Cunningham, US Army Retired, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Lt. Col. Cunningham was born February 16, 1925 in Prentiss County, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Doster Hospital School of Nursing in Columbia, MS. She proudly served in the Army Nurse Corps from 1950 until 1974. During those years she did tours of duty in Germany, Japan and two tours in Korea. She was also assigned to hospitals in several states to include Alaska.

After retirement from William Beaumont Army Medical Center she made her home in El Paso. LTC Cunningham was a member of Park Hills Christian Church. She also was a member of the Retired Army Nurse Corps Association and the Military Officers Association of America. She was a loyal volunteer at the Child Crisis Center Discovery Shop for 19 years.

She is survived by one niece, two nephews, and several great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews.

Visitation for Dale will be from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Funeral service at 7:00PM, Thursday, February 15, at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer St., El Paso, Texas. Graveside Service will be 9:30AM Friday, February 16, at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, Texas.
