Dolores "Jackie'' Elena Nuñez

DOLORES “JACKIE” NUÑEZ, age 82 passed away peacefully with family at her side on November 8, 2012, joining our Lord Savior, Jesus Christ in his kingdom of heaven. Jackie was born in El Paso, Texas on August 16, 1930 to Elena Peinado and Salvador Vela. She was a graduate of Austin High School. A loving and caring wife and mother; Jackie was preceded in death by her brother Salvador Vela Jr. She is survived by her husband Homer Nuñez , to whom she was married for sixty-two years, her son Richard Nuñez and his wife Sylvia, their three children Daniel, Steven and Alane, her daughter Annette Haverly and her husband Robert, their son Christopher and his wife Jen and their three children, Elena, Devin and Grant. She is also survived by her sister Aurora (Becky) Flores. Jackie will be dearly missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched in so many ways. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their support, love, kindness and prayers. We would also like to thank Doctors Mohammad Alnajjar, Michael De Luca, ICU nursing staff at Sierra Medical Center and El Paso Hospice for their medical care, kindness and attention. God bless you Jackie and may you rest in eternal peace. A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with a Rosary at 7:00PM at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10:00AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, 8700 Dyer. Pallbearers will be Richard and Steven Nuñez, Robert and Christopher Haverly, Michael Bogdan and Arnold Peinado. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N.
