I loved Uncle Condon and that Provines laugh. I treasure the memories of the time he picked me up in Dallas and we drove back to Illinois. We had not seen each other since I was ten years old or so. Later, we learned each thought "what in the world would we say to each other on that 10-11 hour drive". It ended up being one of the best road trips ever! We laughed at everything from stopping at a diner and our waitress was straight from Al's Diner TV show, we just waited for her to say "Kiss my Grits". Then we laughed when I tried to help drive - and it had been a long time since I drove a stick shift car.

What a true blessing to have had this wonderful human being in my life!

Grandpa Earle entered our lives in 2010 after his great-granddaughters became our daughters. Our meeting with him in 2015 was one that we will treasure all our lives. Our girls fondly remember Grandpa E for all the cards and gifts he has sent over the years. He will be missed very much. I am sharing a picture of his great-grandchildren and him.

These r the saddest words I have to write. We lost our best friend, who was not just a friend, but family. We loved Earle as tho he had been in our family forever. We shared so many good times together. Insted of the 3 Musketeers, we were the 4 Musketeers. We would go out to eat, and stay for hours talking and laughing. Wonderful memories. Memories that will live in our minds and our hearts forever. We admired the way he loved Phyllis. He always showed his affection for her, no matter where they were. At the pennies every time one of them would win anything, no matter how much, maybe only a few cents, they would kiss. Everyone at pennies would always call them, "the love birds". Some people never knew their names, but always knew who were the Love Birds. I loved to see how much he loved Phyllis, and she loved him. We loved to hear his racing stories, even tho at times they were a repeat. But just to hear him tell them was a Blessing. At times thru the years, he would forget how the story went. He would pause and then say "ANYWAY". We knew, so we'd change to another story. Our celebrations together were the best. We will never forget Earle. He will live in our hearts forever. Phyllis is a strong woman, and with God's help, will make it thru this. She lost the love of her life, and he lost his life, but not his Love. We love u Earle. U will be so Deeply Missed. Rest In Heaven..

Doug and I are both struggling with this loss. There are a lot of memories but one that I hold on to most is simply how Earle and I clasped hands each time we saw each other. It really meant something to me. I'd walk by while Earle was playing at Pennies and we'd clasp hands, like members of a special group with a secret handshake. I can't really explain it well but it will stay with me always and has a special place in my heart, along with the white stuffed unicorn he gave me after my stroke. For Doug, he says the stories are what he is missing the most. So, for now, Doug shares the stories with me and the boys to share them again! Mom, I'm so sorry for this loss. I hope you find comfort in the faith that Earle had and the special love you shared. And, Mom, if I walk by and clasp your hand for no good reason, you'll understand why now..Love, Doug & Carol

We are going to miss Earle so much - he was always smiling and happy to see everyone. He'd make jokes about how he was doing and would tell stories about amazing things he'd done in the past. We will always remember Earle for his kind personality and how much he loves Grandma. Thank you, Earle, for making sure Grandma had the support and love she deserved. We will forever miss and love you!

Earle was a nice man, he was nice to me, he and I had a few good conversations. I liked him a lot and was sad when he passed, most people who knew him were just as sad as I was and I want to help comfort them by saying it'll all be ok. Life is unfair like this sometimes but we will get through it all together!
