So sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. I worked with her at Hillcrest Middle School where she was a very dedicated teacher!  Ruth even taught my daughter, Ashley, many years ago! Sending prayers to her family. Ruth will be missed!

I remember Ruth and my years at Hillcrest fondly. She cared deeply for her students. And she took great pride in preparing her 8th graders for the TAAS history test. God rest her soul. 🙏

Meet Ruthie back in 1983 when I moved to elpaso, been close ever since even thou we were miles apart through out the years. She has always been there for me. I will miss her, and will always be in my heart.  I will always love my dear friend...

I remember the day that I had the honor and the privilege to have met one of the most beautiful and ADMIRABLE teachers ever I met her when I started to volunteer at Hillcrest Middle School.I had never seen or met someone with such sincerity and devotion to her job she did not only work at Hillcrest but it was DEFINITELY her home away from HOME she worked there practically 24/7 always working on workbooks,packets,lesson plans and anything else you can think of I was there to help her she did so much for the school, students, faculty and even parents yes there were times that the students,  and even the parents did not agree with her actions but she ALWAYS wanted what was best for the STUDENTS.  For so many years that she had worked at HMS she had never been nominated for Teacher of the year  she was more and more disappointed in herself thinking that she was not doing her job so many times I would tell her that it was just a title what really mattered was the impact that she had on the students which in the end definitely meant more to her than the title.At the end of the school year she would ask students to sign her yearbook (as long as they did not DISRESPECT HER in anyway) and not one student EVER put anything negative,rude or degrading to her on the contrary they would literally thank her for EVERYTHING that she would do it was so touching and it meant so much to her it literally made her and yes me to cry that is when she realized that Teacher of the year was not as important or as special as the RECOGNITION she received from the students at HMS .My heart hurts so much I still can't believe that you are no longer with us Ruth I love you ALWAYS and I will miss you so much thank you for being the special person that you were you will be greatly missed 😥😥May you RIP. Ruth I miss you so much. You were an amazing sister. I love you so much and I will always cherish your memory. You never let me give up and encouraged me to follow my dreams. I will also cherish the memories of the many trips we took together whether they be to go visit family or just to get away on one of our many fun day trips. I know we didn't always see eye to eye on things but we never stopped loving each other.  Thank you for never giving up on me and always encouraging me when things got tough. I love you and I miss you and I will never forget you. You will always have a special place in my heart. I love you sis and I have all the confidence in the world that we will be reunited when my time on Earth is done and God calls me home. 

I have known  Ruthie since 1983 when I lived in Elpaso,  she was with me threw thick and thin threw out the years, have so many stories and so many pictures., remain close ever since, I will forever miss her. I love you Ruthie, you will be forever be in my heart. ❤❤ meet you at the gate my dear friend.!

Ruth is survived by her sister, Kathy Courtois and her partner Jim Robbins, her brother, Garnett Hall, his wife Sherri, her brother Edward Hall, his wife Diana, her brother Stephen Hall and his wife Marie and her brother-in-law, George Baxley. Ruth is also survived by her nieces, Victoria Giesey and Jane Courtois, her nephews Zack and David Courtois and Seth and Chase Hall and her greatnephews Cameron Giesey and Isaiah Villanueva and great nieces Sirena and Marina Villanueva.
