Edward Garner Jr.

Edward Garner Jr. was born on October 19, 1953, in Sequin, Texas to the union of Lillian and Edward Garner Sr. The Family came to Detroit, MI in 1956. Edward accepted Christ at a young age at Friendship Baptist Church under the Leadership of Pastor Louis Johnson of Detroit. Edward was a boy scout which he enjoyed the outside life especially fishing.Edward was educated in the Detroit Public school and graduated from the 12th grade. Edward met the Missing piece of his puzzle Carol Y Garner 1978.They were married in 1980. Edward in 1979 joined the Army until 1992. Edward went to Western Technical Inst. El Paso, Texas from 1999-2001 and is a member of the American Legion. Edward became a Truck Driver for CFI Trucking Co from 1993-2015 where he retired. Edward was a very loving and kind person. He was preceded in death by his son Edward Fordham, sister Gwendolyn Garner, and father Edward Garner SR. Edward leaves to cherish his memory his Loving Wife Carol Yvonne Garner, Lillian Garner (Mother) 2 Sisters Beverly Garner- Ellis, (Will) Gloria Lynn Bell (Marcus) 5 nieces Lanita, Lachelle, Charlotte, Beverly Ann Anderson (Justin) Kenyatta Ross (Jason) 1 Nephew Marcus Bell JR. (Deviney) 2 Uncles Leon Newton (Suntok) Alfonso Newton (Janice) 2 Great nieces Christian and Destiny and 3 Great nephews Tomjuan, Courtney, Justin, 4 Great- Great Nephews and one Great- Great niece.
