Edwina T. Ramirez, 90, died peacefully on January 6, 2017. Edwina was born March 18, 1926, in El Paso TX, the daughter of Blas and Luisa Telles. She retired from the Ysleta Independent School District where she was a teacher’s aide at North Loop, East Point and Le Barron Park elementary schools. She was preceded in death by her husband Lorenzo Sr., son Lorenzo Jr, sisters Elvira and Romelia, brothers Emilio and Abelardo. She is survived by her son Armando, his wife Margie, grandchildren Chris (Erika), Stacy (Matt), Lorenzo III and Lisa, three great grandchildren, sister Celsa (Baby) Anchondo (Edmundo) and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm, Thursday January 12, 2017 with a rosary at 7 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday January 13, 2017 at St. Raphael Catholic Church 2301 Zanzibar. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
