Efren is survived by his daughter Elva Arzate Gutierrez (Juan); his daughter Marivel A. Nelson (Jerry); his son Efren Ramiro Arzate; his son Eude Manuel Arzate; and his son Eric Arzate. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, and extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
A visitation for Efren will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, 10970 Bywood Dr, El Paso, TX 79936 followed by the burial from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79938.
