Elias “Sonny” Morales Jr., a child of God, peacefully passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born in El Paso, Texas to Maria & Elias Morales Sr., both deceased, with siblings: Evaristo Morales, deceased, Margarita Morales Perez, Gloria Morales Betancourt, deceased, and Dolores Morales Holguin, deceased.
Sonny is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Morales, his two daughters: Vivian Martinez (Luis), and Katherine Marquez (Victor III), and grandchildren: Jonah, Isabella, Ava, and Siarah Martinez, Victor IV and Jonathan Marquez.
Sonny was a veteran of the Vietnam War with service in the U.S. Army, and a longtime employee of O’Malley’s Building Materials and BMC West, as a sales supervisor. He loved his family, and especially adored all of his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and was loved dearly.
A crematory visitation and rosary is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 5-8 pm at Queen of Peace Church located at 1551 Belvidere Street, El Paso with the rosary beginning at 7 pm.
A funeral mass will be held at noon on Friday, May 24, 2024, at St. Matthew Church located at 400 W. Sunset Rd. A military graveside burial will be held at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30 pm, located at 5200 Fred Wilson Ave., El Paso, TX 79906.
