We are left in a profound dream state. Although knowing she was tired, we are certain she would have loved to remain a bit longer with us all. A woman of both class and grace. Attributes that attract admiration like a magnet and cannot be contrived. False class and grace is easy to detect because it is pretentious, making others feel insignificant. Elizabeth Araujo had genuine class and grace. Don’t believe me? Take a survey of those she encountered daily. From the sales personnel at her favorite stores to the local restaurant employee. They will all tell you the same thing. She knew how to make an entrance and command an audience. However, Elizabeth’s class and grace was unique. It was as if royalty had entered the room but then immediately told you an off-handed joke. You tried your best to stand up straight and couldn’t help but cover your mouth and chuckle at what you had just heard. You were in awe but felt comfortable being yourself at the same time. Elizabeth will always be remembered as the Lady with the beautiful blue eyes who took the time to make you feel one of a kind. She will be eternally missed.
Elizabeth found love with her late husband Pedro (Pete) Araujo with whom she enjoyed 61 years of marriage; they had four children of whom three survive her along with four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
