Felix Resari Jr.

Felix Resari Jr. was born on January 30th, 1952 and went to be with the Lord on November 18th, 2023. Felix was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Resari. He is survived by his sister, Martha Ramos, his beloved nephew Alberto Ramos Jr, his nieces, Viridiana Ramos, Nayeli Ramos (Remzi Ateser, Sr.) and numerous cousins, uncles and aunts. Felix will be remembered and admired for his love of learning and quick wit by those that knew him.

Early in life, Felix attended Jesuit High School on scholarship and continued his studies at UTEP, earning his teaching certification and Bachelor’s and Masters’ degrees. He was fascinated with linguistics and was fluent in English, Spanish and French.

Felix was a teacher at Socorro Independent School District and Father Yermo where he taught elementary, middle and high school students in mathematics, foreign languages and computer literacy, earning him a reputation as an excellent teacher. Felix was a part of the founding faculty on two campuses and as the district grew, so did his reputation. He was nominated and received teacher of the year several times for his work with students from school community (PTSO) and was nominated and awarded the Bell Award for excellence. One of his proudest achievements was working with his students to prepare them for math competition. He was instrumental in establishing a formidable academic team that never failed to take top honors in competition locally and at state level. He was extremely proud of his students and was truly invested in preparing them for their life ahead. His students often sought him out after graduation for advice and to inform him of their plans and successes. Felix will best be remembered for inspiring others to be their best and for his love of teaching as evidenced by his over 50+ year career.

Visitation for Felix will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer Street, El Paso, Texas 79904, with a Memorial service at 2:00 PM.
