Gerardo C. Candelas, 72, born to Antonio and Cleotilde Candelas in Canutillo, Texas passed away on October 28, 2014 in El Paso, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Candelas; his sons: Gerardo Candelas, Jr., Gerardo Leyva, and Eduardo Candelas; his daughters: Angelita Candelas, Elizabeth Candelas, and Maria Fernandez; sister: Emma Castro and six grandchildren. Gernardo was retired for the El Paso Police Department. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
