Gloria Sapien

Longtime Canutillo resident Gloria Sapien passed away peacefully in her sleep July 5, 2018 at the age of 90, she was born on May 9, 1928 in Camargo, Chihuahua to Enrique and Angelita (Gardea) Noriega. As a housewife, Gloria cared for her home, husband, children, grandchildren, family and many others in the community. She will be remembered for her love of mariachis and her songs, great advice, “dichos”, and faith in God. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Serafin “Fito” Sapien; grandson, Adrian A. Medina; and her parents. She is survived by her children, Sylvia & Luis Sapien both of Canutillo, TX; grandson Gabriel Sapien of Las Cruces, NM; great-granddaughter Isabella Medina-Vogt of El Paso. Gloria is also survived by her siblings, Lilia, Hugo, Bertha, Angelita, and Armando and many other relatives including sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, godchildren, family and her extended family in the Upper Valley into New Mexico. The beloved matriarch of the family will be missed but will forever live in our hearts.
