Grace Martinez

Grace Martinez was born and raised in El Paso Texas by her beloved late father Manuel Avila and her surviving mother Norma Avila. Grace was a graduate of Bel Air High School Class of 1978. She always claimed that her high school years were the best days of her life. She loved to shop and was a big fashionista, never left her home without getting all dolled up. Grace was called by the Lord to join her beloved father on August 18, 2014. She is survived by her children: Jennifer Martinez and Michael Martinez; grandchildren: Celeste Martinez and Alejandro Martinez; siblings and brother in-laws: Elizabeth Alvarez, Rose and Louie Castillo, Virginia and Robert Garcia Jr., Monica and Jesus Ibarra Jr.; brothers: Manuel and wife Lilly Avila, and Robert Avila. Pallbearers will be Jesus Ibarra, Robert Garcia Jr., Louie Castillo, Robert Garcia III, Eric Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Alejandro Martinez, and Robert Avila. Grace loved her children and grandchildren dearly and they will continue to be in our lives and in our prayers. She will always be in our hearts and greatly missed. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Rosary at 7:00. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00am on Saturday August 23, 2014 at Mount Carmel Old Mission 131 S. Zaragoza. Service under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME 1060 Carolina 598-3332
