We are saddened to share that Guadalupe Salas Martinez, 75, passed away on April 29, 2026. Born on December 16, 1950, Lupe was a lifelong El Pasoan and proud graduate of Ysleta High School. She was a caretaker for many members of the family and spent years as a dedicated volunteer for the YISD schools. She was an avid gardener and crafter who loved sharing her talents and creations with everyone. Lupe is survived by her husband Canuto “Henry” Martinez Jr, daughters Joyce and Janette. Granddaughters Kalista, Kaylyn and Kenzie and great grandson Zayden. Her sister Concepcion Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, on May 18, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A Rosary will follow at 12:30 pm, and a Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, also at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Graveside services will take place at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906, USA, on May 18, 2026, at 2:30 pm.
