I’ll always remember her as a strict yet hilarious figure who was always one step ahead of the game. She was undoubtedly a strong woman.

My Dear Grandma Helen, 

My fondest memories growing up are the ones made in your home on Nations. I don’t think you had any idea of the many adventures that Keyla  and I created in the game room, the desert backyard, & even the laundry shoots! I remember being fascinated by your home decor, the detail and elegance of it all. 

Thank you for making Christmas grand! You were able to pull together a good majority of the family and host us all, creating some of the best memories that I have to this day. I have and will carry on your tradition of making pozole during that time of year in memory of you. 

Thank you for being such an inspiration to me. I have always admired your strength and determination, your humor & and playfulness, and yes even your bossiness! I see a lot of myself in you & for that I’m thankful.. because it gives me the strength and the courage to continue moving forward, knowing you did it for so many years on your own. You will forever be in my heart, prayers and my thoughts. I love you, until we meet again.

I may not have had much time with her, but I know she shaped our family in ways that will always matter. I hope she’s at peace.

Heaven gained an angel who could out-bowl anyone on earth. Grandma Helen wasn’t just an amazing bowler- she was the heart, the courage, and the strength of our family. I’ll always remember the sound of her strike, her smile and cheers after every game (bowling, softball, jenga, you name it!) , and the laughter and joy she brought to all of us. 

Missing you always, Grandma. I hope you’re rolling perfect games up there. 🎳✨

Our condolences to you Norma and your very large family. I was always relaxed around Helen because she was a loving and kind person from the heart and very present. She had some fascinating stories especially about her sports days, and her women’s baseball team, she was truly part of a league of their own!

Dearest Grandma Helen,

Thank you for raising all your kids with so much love, affection, and humor. It was because of you, our dad, my aunties and uncles are great people. More so, they have become great moms and dads/ grandparents to their kiddos and grandkids as well. Your love, humor, and unique kindness you have showed all your loved ones has made our family what we are. We all love you so much. Rest well . Until we all meet again in heaven, dance our sweet angel💕.
