Honea Herschel

Our beloved Herschel Douglas Honea passed away to go live with our Heavenly Father after 99yrs on this earth. He left this world in Lubbock, TX on February 04, 2025. He was born on April 26, 1925 in Corsicana TX. He was a loving Husband, father, and grandfather. He served our country in WWII in El Paso, TX proceeded by a long, rewarding career at South Western Bell Telephone in El Paso. He was an antique car enthusiast and loved working on old clocks. He had a huge love for his family, especially his beautiful wife of 76 years, Virginia, and all of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Virginia, brothers Bryon and Tim Honea, daughter Carrol Bella, son Tom Honea, daughter in law Su Honea, seven grandchildren LeShel, Celeste, Micah, Jon, Jessica, Tom, Carli, fifteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents James Honea and Pearl Conyers, his son David Honea, his daughter Jennye Hannah, brothers James Honea Jr, Bill Hall, Gary Honea, and sisters Janie Crow and Jennifer Graham. Graveside will be held on March 20, 2025 at Fort Bliss, TX at 11:00 am for family. The memorial service will be held on March 20, 2025 at 1:30 pm at the Eastwood Church of Christ in El Paso, TX and all friends and family are welcome.
