We are sorry to hear that Jack has passed. We were looking forward to catching up with him on our USA trip and giving him some coins we had saved for you. I attended school in El Paso 89-93. I lived across the street from Jack and was good friends with Joseph his son. Jack loved playing 50’s and 60’s music in his downtime as it’s all we ever heard when playing around the house. It’s actually some of the reason now that I go back to those tracks. Always a calm cool fella who loved his music and a nice beverage.  
 Always good energy.

Jack was my backdoor neighbor for 5 years. The obituary describes him just as I knew him. He was a decent man with strong beliefs, always working hard, playing with his dogs, cleaning his pool and was kind to offer my kids a place to swim every summer. When my husband was deployed, he would offer to either help trim any trees or lend me tools to do work around the house. He used to tell me that he looked forward to the day he could move to a quieter part of Texas. I will always be grateful for his kindness and realness. The world could use more like Jack Russ. We extend our sincerest condolences and prayers to his family.

My condolences to Joseph and Connie. A former colleague of Jack’s just informed me of his passing. He and his family are in my prayers. I pray that Jack learned how much God loved him and how merciful Our Father is.

So sorry for your loss joesph.   I will never forget your father.   Every year he always called me on my birthday even if hadn’t seen each other the whole year.  He was a good man

So sad to hear of Jack's passing.  We were neighbors for over a decade and he was terrific person.  He was a good friend and had many entertaining stories.  He kept an eye on our kids when we were not at home, could help fix anything and was ultra talented with his many hobbies.  Gone to soon.  I am blessed to have gone by for a visit a couple of months ago.  Thinking of Joseph and the family at this difficult time.  God Bless.

Our condolences to Jack's family.  We were Jack's neighbor for many years.  Jack was always there to lend a helping hand, whenever we needed him.  We knew from the first minute we met Jack, he was a good person, by the way he loved his animals. Rusty will miss him the most. RIP Jack! Dave and I love you. 💙

Jack (Lt Russ to me) was my lieutenant when I was a new officer.  He treated me as a professional and made an effort to point me in the right direction.  I didn’t always follow his advice but he didn’t hold that against me. We stayed in touch until I left El Paso.  He was a true friend. My condolences to the Russ family.

To Jack's family,
Jack was one of first people to extend his friendship to me when I worked at the Police Dept.  Our friendship lasted for over 40 years. My mother met him and thought highly of him. He was always a kind person. I will remember him as a good man, a good father and more important a good friend. I will always have fond memories and will miss my friend.   He has now found his place with the Lord.  My thoughts and prayers to Jack's family. God bless you all.

There’s so many memories, too many to share: donuts, “big” butterfingers, Thanksgiving dinner from Albertsons, Korean food, confession, 70s music, making fun of cop shows on TV….. and yet, not enough memories for this lifetime. 
I can still hear your voice. I will miss you forever.
