Javier Arturo Anzures

Javier A Anzures stepped into eternity with the Lord on 1 September 2025, at the age of 78 years old. He will be remembered as a beloved father, son, husband and friend. He touched all our lives with His kind heartedness towards everyone he encountered, willingness to help anyone at anytime and his stories with lighthearted humor was always such a joy. Javier is preceded in death by his mother Esperanza Huerta, and leaves behind a wife, three beloved children, two stepchildren and many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many beloved family and friends.

Family, friendships and helping others were just a few of his many passions. He was born in Chihuahua Mexico. He attended Austin high school in El Paso, Texas, was drafted into the US Army to fight in the Vietnam war, came home and studied engineering at UTEP for a stint. He was a sheet metal worker by trade, lived life on the edge and enjoyed food tremendously. He lived in El Paso most of his life, traveled for his work occasionally, and retired to live in the boonies by the rocks and mountain passes of Waco Tanks. “Javier,” may your heavenly journey be glorious, surrounded by our loved ones, free from all pain and suffering. Until we meet again, we will carry your memory in our hearts.

A visitation for Javier will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 6:30 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
