Jeffery Neal Clark was born on December 25th, 1947, the son of Robert Eugene and jane iris Clark, in Ontario, California and passed away peacefully, by natural causes in his sleep on August 1st, 2025, at 4:36 a.m. at the age of 77, in his home in El Paso, Tx. He is survived by his wife Joanne 77, and his three adoring children Damiene Jacqueline Kelly 57, George Michael 55, and Amber Jane 51. In addition to his sister Nan Lynes, and six grandchildren. Stephanie, Daniel (Zach), Caitlan, Joelle, Clark Olivia and two great grandchildren Valentine Pruett, and Violet Alvarado, respectively.
In his early years, Jeff was an all-star baseball pitcher throughout his High School career playing for the Scotts at his alma mater Highland High School, in North Highland California. After graduation, Jeff served as and active-duty Non-Commissioned Officer military member in the Air Force for 20 years, beginning his career in 1967 at Lackland AFB and later retiring at Wright-Patterson Air Force base in 1987. Jeffs military career stationed him in both domestic and international locations ranging from California, Turkey, and Illinois to name a few, but among his favorites were Japan and England, with Alaska ranking as his #1 tour of duty to his country, as he rose through the ranks, He began as a flight line mechanic, became and instructor and then wrote technical manuals for new GIs on how to fix air and build aircraft. Specifically, he was a B-1 bomber program specialist and worked for tactical ground launch cruise missile programs. He officially retired as a striped E-8 aka as a Senior Master Sergeant government for another twenty-three years writing technical manuals, a job he loved, before finally ending his working career in 2010. He and Joanne moved to El Paso, Tx that same year to spend more time with the family.
When not serving his country, and after retirement, Jeff was an avid bowhunter, fisherman, and all-around sports and gun enthusiast, in addition to being a true renaissance man and artist in every sense of the word. He was skilled, knowledgeable and manually able to create, and followed through with ideas to make beautiful pieces of woodwork hand drawings, watercolor paintings, wood carvings, leather work and more. His talents were limitless. Everything he touched turned to perfection. He was always methodical and pragmatic in his thinking and logic, never leaving out a step or detail this included his family.
He was a family man by nature, with a wicked and witty sense of humor, and always kept his focus on family values and the importance of family togetherness and the familial bond. As a result, we are all connected to him and each other in unique and loving ways. His love was the strongest bond holding our family together. A love we all share to this day and will continue to share. He was always fair and just, patient, kind, very warm hearted and gentle despite his imposing stature and height. He was 6’4 and was stern and wielded his authority only when appropriate or necessary, but mostly he yielded to compassion and reverted to love. He was a good listener and offered solemn, respectful wise advice, often given to him by an old Indian friend. He was truly loved by every member of his family and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with memorial service at 2:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer St. El Paso, Tx, 79904.
