Born January 22, 1949, passed away on July 10, 2025 surrounded by all his family.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a graduate of Bowie High School and attended Ranger Junior College. He was a sports enthusiast and wouldn't miss his family's games. He had a heart of gold and was always there for anyone in need.
Chufas is survived by his wife, Bertha Arellano; his son Javier Arellano (Norma); his son Larry Arellano; and his daughter Monica Carmona (Mario); his sister Eva Cabral (Tito), his sister Alicia Lomeli, his sister Marisela Arellano (Joe) and his brother Carlos Arellano (Ginny).
Chufas was preceded in death by his father Jesus "Chuy" Arellano and his mother Tomasa Arellano; his brother Luis Arellano and his sister Magdalena Arellano.
Mr. Arellano leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
His presence will be greatly missed by many people who knew him and loved him.
A visitation for Chufas will be held Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary service at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. The funeral mass will occur Monday, July 21, 2025 at 12:00 PM at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, 12200 Vista Del Sol Dr, El Paso, TX 79936. The graveside service will occur Monday, July 21, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Evergreen East & Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79938.
