Jesus grew up in El Paso where he graduated from Jefferson High School. He also attended The University of Texas at El Paso.

Jesus Gurrola Jr. and Socorro Gurrola Carbajal met and got married in El Paso and lived there until 1998 and then moved to Dallas, TX.

Jesus worked as an accountant for Mi Cocina Restaurants.

Jesus and Socorro had five children: Jesus Gurrola III, Cesar Gurrola, Pamela Gurrola, Jessica Gurrola and Heather Gurrola. Their family grew with the addition of ten grandchildren: Cesar Julius Gurrola, Alyssa Gurrola, Emma Vega, Milania Vega, Giuliana Vega, Clara Vega, Giovani Vega, Jaden West, Savanna West and Jonah West.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents Jesus Gurrola, Sr. and Socorro Gurrola, as well as Efren Gurrola, Martha Gallegos Gurrola and Oscar Gurrola.

Jesus is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as Maria Elena Michaels, Lilia Gurrola, Jose Luis Gurrola and Juan Manuel Gurrola.

Visitation will be held on February 10, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Road, Dallas, TX. Rosary will be held on February 10, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Road, Dallas, TX. Funeral Mass will be held on February 11, 2021 at 9:00 am at St Augustine Catholic Church, 1054 N St Augustine Drive, Dallas, TX.

Interment will take place in Mount Caramel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Road, El Paso, TX under the direction of Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 North Zaragoza Road, El Paso,TX,79936
