Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, a man whose presence was steady, reliable, and deeply felt by everyone who knew him. He was the kind of person who would always step in to help, whether it was solving a problem, offering guidance, or simply being there when needed. His generosity, hard work, and unwavering support touched the lives of all around him.
At the center of Joe’s life was his marriage to his beloved wife, Carmen Guzman. They shared 43 years of marriage, raising three children and building a family that grew to include multiple grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. Carmen remained faithfully by Joe’s side until the very end of his life a final and powerful reflection of their love, devotion, and partnership.
Joe is survived by his wife, Carmen Guzman; his children, Joann Guzman, who preceded him in death in 2020, Joe Guzman Jr. and his wife, Monika Guzman, and Erika Guzman and her partner, David Lopez; his grandchildren, Gianni, Evan, Carolina, Jake, Joe III, and Ava; his brother, Jerry Guzman and his partner, Sandra Morales; and his many loving nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Guzman Sr. (2020) and Maria Guzman (2025), his brother, Jesus Guzman Jr (2007).
Joe dedicated 35 years to the paint industry, working his way into a store manager role and pouring genuine passion into his career. Although he held a leadership position, Joe was always a team player never above lending a hand, offering guidance, or stepping in wherever help was needed. He led by example, earning the respect of coworkers and customers alike through his work ethic and willingness to help others succeed.
Even after long days at work, he never stopped caring for the things he loved. He took great pride in his yard, carefully mowing and watering his green grass throughout the week a simple joy that brought him peace and pride. He also had a deep love for cars, proudly owning and enjoying vehicles such as his LTD lowrider, his Corvette, and his truck. Joe was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed following the team whenever he could.
