John Eldon Howell

JOHN ELDON HOWELL passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013, at the age of 66. Eldon was born, raised and died in El Paso. He graduated from El Paso High School and attended UTEP while working at (then) Providence Memorial Hosp. He worked 40 years in electronic sales, and was the president of Howell Electronics, Inc., and also worked in investments. He had been involved with the Boy Scouts of America, the local West Point Parents Club, the El Paso Gun Club and the Westside Neighborhood Assn. Eldon was preceded in death by his father Thomas R. Howell and his brother Stephen Leigh Howell. He is survived by his wife Lorene Sand Howell, children Thomas D. Howell (Dana) of Scappoose, OR; Matthew D. Howell (Michelle) of Gaithersburg, MD; James M. Howell of Georgetown, TX; Riann L. Lackey (Jeremy) of Garland, TX; Sherrill L. Howell of El Paso, TX and grandson Cody Bunch of El Paso; his mother Eleanor Frith Howell of El Paso, TX, and brother Thomas R. Howell, Jr. (Nancy) of San Antonio, TX. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 9. 2013 at 10:00 AM at Martin Funeral Home. Father Wm. Martin will be officiating.
