February 22, 1937 to Katherine K. Morrison and John B. Morrison
John lived most of his young life in New Harmony, Indiana, and upon graduation from New Harmony High School he went on to Purdue University. He earned his bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering and headed to the West Coast to enter the aerospace industry. It was while he was in Southern California that he met his wife, Maureen, and they were married 56 years.
After many years in aerospace, John decided to pursue another career, and he entered law school. He earned his law degree at Southwestern University in Los Angeles.
John practiced law in Long Beach and Orange County, California while also teaching law.
John consolidated all of his knowledge and expertise while working in the oil industry in his later years in Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Sean M. Morrison.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen Morrison; his daughter, Lisa K. Morrison of Austin, Texas; and his two grand-daughters, Devon Morrison and Naomi Morrison, also of Austin, Texas.
Others left behind are his brothers-in-law Noel Mulkern and his wife Frances of El Paso, Texas; Anthony Mulkern and his wife Stella of Los Angeles, California; and John Mulkern and his wife Tanya of Austin, Texas.
John will be remembered by all his family and numerous friends as a kind, gentle, generous, and loving man.
