Just wanted to let you know you are not alone ! I will always be here for you .. 

I am so fortunate to have visited with my uncle Antonio and his loving wife Armida last year in CA. It was a blessing to sit down and recall memories of our early years. Uncle Antonio, just four years my elder, served as my big brother every summer when our family (my father, Luis Alfonso Granados, our mother Petra, and my two sisters Susan and Diana Norma) would travel to El Paso from Orange County, CA. Antonio’s quick wit was contagious, and he enjoyed entertaining us. As the youngest in his family, he had a knack for getting in the last laugh or joke aimed at his older brothers and sisters. He certainly inherited a generous helping of the Granados sense of humor -- a characteristic I see carried on by my own two children! His ability to mimic characters and role-play was incredible. Southwestern Bell was lucky to have him - otherwise he would have made a fine actor on the big screen. I remember afternoons sitting at the family-owned Olympia restaurant in El Paso singing the day’s top pop hits (Sugar, Sugar by the Archies especially). After cleaning tabletops and sweeping, we would sit by the countertop and call out the year and model of cars that drove by. A few years later we would out-muscle other cars in his orange '69 Roadrunner! Good times! During our summer visits he would take me to Spanish language cinemas (Cantinflas!), hotel pool swims (I have no idea how he got us in!), and demolition car races in Juarez (I had to keep that a secret). One summer we had the crazy idea to raise cock-fighting roosters in the backyard, until Adelina – Antonio’s mother/my grandmother - shut down our operation! We only had one rooster, but we had big plans for expansion. My uncle was one-of-a kind. We will miss him, but I am thankful for the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.

Reminiscing with Toño in our last visits, the stories were all about family and unconditional love.  Armida, Amanda, and Alfonso know that he will be with you always. Look for the signs!   We love you forever!   Javier/Lori Orozco and family

Armada, our condolences…He and I started work together aas partners in the night crew because their were no trucks for us new guys. My wife, Yolie, would take our first born to our work location up Dyer St. Pancho would lore our son to some of his first baby steps with a promise of a gum in his hand. Many other fund memories of your Husband. 

Compa Toño was a great son, friend, uncle, brother but most of all, I know that he was a wonderful husband and an incredible father.  Despite all the successes in life, his greatest joy and greatest accomplishments were to marry you, Armida, and his children Amanda and Alfonso.  This was what he lived for!   He loved you dearly, he was very proud of each of you and YOU WERE HIS LIFE!  I know this because he told me so!
Compadre, this is not goodbye, I know we will see each other again.  As we use to tell each other: “Ay nos vemos compa!!!


Joe and I worked together for over 25yrs.  We made a great team. He was one of the nicest gentleman I knew.  Was a man of good family and social  standings.
I feel blessed to have been part of his life. 
May God give Joe entrance to His kingdom.  May the good Lord bless Armida and family always.
