Jose Salvador Tena

Jose Salvador Tena, age 50, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2025. Born in El Paso, Texas, Joe was the beloved son of Maria Tena. A proud Ranger of Riverside High School, Class of 1994, he always carried the spirit of his hometown with him.

Joe had a passion for fitness and sports, spending countless hours at the gym and cheering for his favorite teams — the Raiders, the Yankees, and his fútbol team, Club América. A dog lover with a sweet tooth, he will be remembered for his loyalty, sense of humor, and the joy and humor he brought to every gathering.

He is survived by his daughter, Vianna Nicole; his fur babies, Princesa and Piglet; his brother, David; and his mother, Maria. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Prayer to El Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, en Ti confío. Que tu amor infinito envuelva a Jose Salvador Tena, que tu misericordia le conceda descanso eterno y que tu luz perpetua brille sobre él. A vigil will occur Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, 1460 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, Texas 79936. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic, 7712 S Rosedale St, El Paso, TX 79915. An interment will occur Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, TX 79907.
