She was born October 29, 1946, in Temple to Icy Oliva Morris and Johnnie V. Sorrells. Her father served in WWII. Her mother worked as a housekeeper. They moved to Texas shortly after his discharge in 1946.
Josie spent most of her life in El Paso around family and friends. She graduated from Jefferson High School and set out into the work force. She met Osborne T. Davis while he was assigned to Ft. Bliss and they later married. She became a military spouse and a working Mother, raising three sons. She retired from Toro in early 2000 as a line Supervisor.
She was baptized and gave her life to the Lord. She an active member of Holly Light Church of God in Christ, serving on the Usher Board and later recognized as a Mother of the church.
Her interests included family, reading, and good food. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until she passed away at age 77.
Ms. Davis served selflessly as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother for 53 years, And now she is survived by her three Sons Otis, Stevan, and David, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
