It is with great grief and sorrow that we share in the loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Juan C. Fattorini. He was born on September 12, 1936, and lived in El Paso after moving from Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua. He was a devoted husband of 55 years to his loving wife Juana. He was also a caring and devoted father to his six children: Maria Meza, Eddie Fattorini (Liz), Connie F. Vasquez (Joe), John Fattorini (Cecilia), Victoria Fattorini (John Paul), and Susana Fattorini. His eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren were blessed to have had him in their lives. On Saturday, October 25, he left this earth to join our Heavenly Father and his parents John Fattorini and Maria Concepcion Carrera Fattorini, Angel Fattorini (brother), and many relatives and friends who preceded him in death. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports activities and hardly missed any of their games. He would travel with them wherever their games were held. He volunteered his time in several organizations: The Lower Valley Optimist Club, and as a driver for The San Vincente Clinic taking patients to doctor’s appointments who did not have transportation. He also supported Bel Air High School athletics. He was a founding member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church and served as Vice-President for the Ways and Means Committee. He was a dedicated employee of Ysleta ISD as a school bus driver for 32 years. There he formed many friendships with co-workers, teachers, and students. He earned several safety awards and was voted Support Employee of the Year in 2012. He retired from YISD due to his illness in 2014. Our family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Ysleta ISD Transportation Department and the staff and students at Mesa Vista Elementary School for a beautiful tribute in honor of his life. A sincere thank you to Dr. P. Valilis and his staff at Texas Oncology and Dr. Jesus Hernandez from El Paso Gastroenterology. It was his unwavering faith in God that gave him strength to fight his illness. Pallbearers will be Eddie Fattorini, John Fattorini, Joey Meza, John Paul Mata, Alfred Gunter, Alfonso Guzman, Joe Vasquez and Jordan Meza. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm.
