He was more than a father, he was my best friend. I was scared of him when I first met him. Him and my brothers were constantly butting heads. The day I noticed he actually cared was when he showed up to my first school play when my mom couldn’t because she had work. That day is one of my happiest memories of him. He was always trying to be cold and act tough. Reality of it was, he’s a big teddy bear and prankster. He was always scaring me after watching scary movies. He knew I was chicken and didn’t like scary movies but he helped me grow as a person and improve upon my flaws/weaknesses. The main thing he always told me was, ‘you have a good head on your shoulders. I don’t have to worry about you struggling. You know what to do and you do it no matter how difficult it is. If you didn’t know how to do it you taught yourself.’ Him saying that helped work on my biggest struggle. I had trouble opening up to others. He was patient with me we’d sit in silence, we’d just make fun of each other, or we would box/bloody knuckles. Eventually it came to the point were we could talk to each other about literally anything. We’d rant and complain to each other. If he’d hear me on the phone my mom I could hear him yelling in the background to try and talk to me. Last time I saw him in person in July he asked me what was wrong and I just paced back/forth.  I could see him tearing him and I began to cry. He told me to sit down and breathe he got up and sat next to me and hugged me. ‘What’s wrong miho talk to me.’ He said. ‘I just worry about you man.’ ‘Don’t worry about me miho, I’m going to keep fighting so don’t worry.’ After that we just sat in silence. He was an ill King that everybody looked up to and never crossed. I love you dad, I know you are in the heaven you always spoke so dearly about. Till we meet again I will stay strong till then.

My Pa who was the foundation for us and saved us all when we were in a dark place and time in our lives. My Father was really God sent as an angel from above when we were in desperate need of one..  My Pa has been the pillar for my Ma, brothers, sister, and I since he came into our lives. Back when I was younger I was going down a pretty dark path and it wasn't looking so good, but then he showed up and lit up my world for what a Father really is. He showed me what it takes to be a man, integrity, love, humbleness, morality, and so much more. He loved me unconditionally and called me "son" which is all I ever wanted. I am truly grateful for God for placing him in my life and giving us such a blessing for life. I had so much that I wanted to show you Pa, like me getting married, traveling, hopefully grandkids, and what I could do.. I know that you're here in spirit with us all and telling us not to grieve, but to be happy and remember the good times. You told me for the last time we spoke "You were always my strongest mijo. Take care of Mom and Jazzy, along with Markos and Mariano. You guys are and will always be my world because you gave me light when I didn't know what it was. I will always love you." You words will always resonate within me like the fire you have instilled in me. I promise you I will take care of everyone and be your Hercules/Pitbull, until the day we meet again. Thank you for everything that you have done for Ma, my brothers, my sister, and me. For all the funny, sad, angry, happy, and most importantly loving moments. You're my Pa and the best man I know, I love you so much Dad, please rest in heavenly peace with the rest of the family and please take it easy on the cigars and your blue moon up there.

Our trip to Laredo, always making a trip out of everything we had to do... we ended up going to Corpus and San Antonio as well. I’ll miss these little road trips my mom and I would take with you,  just the three of us roaming the world 

The most genuine and unique love I could have ever wished to witness. The best things never last forever. But they are the best.

I didn’t believe it was real until I saw you today... thank you for a lifetime worth of love dad. I will always live by your truth and be true to myself. Thank you for always being the stern and loving father i needed. Thank you for your wise words and helping me to be aware of how hard this life is but always remembering to fight for what I love and what I want out of life. Everything I do will be because of you. 

My father. 100% a part of the person I have become today. You would always tell me how much I was just like you and now I am because you were. You were my WORLD and MY FATHER and I couldn’t ask for anyone else. You have become a part of me in every single way. We have been through the high and lows the good and evil and even though there were many lows and many odds and evil against us we always came out stronger and more beautiful and loving because of it. You are my warrior. I will forever love you my angel. 

Juan not only did they look like you but are funny, very funny, cocky, smart mouth, great looks , smart , strong .  Going places how you would  want,  Loving ,kind , giving how  you want. Always know I reminded them you loved them and no matter what, they were 50% u and 50% me and their existence is because of God first of all and us. You rest and enjoy, you will see my dad and your dad , they will welcome you and scold you probably but will  smile. I will always remember the great memories as you did. See you until we meet again😊

Juan the father of our amazing 2 daughter’s!! They are 50%you and 50% me. Time was not on our side, although at one point in our lives we were the focus ❤️ S  for each other, nevertheless I am so thankful we made our girls with love, thoughtfulness,and smiles. Thank you for giving me Stella  and Christine. I remember all I wanted was for Stella to look exactly like you and you wanted Christine to look like me and we both got our wish, although they look so much more like you. I will continue to take care of them on earth and I know you will be watching them from above, now their guardian angel..Rest  In Peace, the father of our daughter’s, remember always how much we meant to each other at one point in our lives.

Who knew Choche knew that everytime you"d see him he would always make you smile. He was kind and loving. He will always make you feel special. He would always show affection  with his hugs and kind words. He would always show intetest in  showing you he cared for you. I will miss you cousin but you will not be forgotten! May you RIP. My Father, my Pop, my Best Friend and our Oso. I have so many memories with you and I cherish every single one of them. From the moment you picked us up as kids, all the happy moments, fun times, sad times and your final goodbye. You were always so cold and couldn't walk as much. I would always take you on walks to warm you up and give you massages every day. You always stood tall and rose every time. You were so strong and powerful... You taught me how to be a man, how to respect others, how to be well mannered, how to make decisions, how to not hate and stress, and so much more. But most of all, you loved me as your own Son and treated me that way. I miss you so, so much, but I know you are not suffering or in pain anymore. You are whole up in Heaven. I will always be your Son and muscle. I love you so much, Dad. See you someday, Pop. 

So happy you are finally resting in peace and grateful for the few memories we have together. I'll love you forever, Dad. Stella Lopez-Decena.

I was not fortunate enough to have met Juan but I know he was an Amazing Man because I hace heard so many Amazing things about him. We were always together since you were born - I was like your other mom.  
We would go shopping all the time, laugh and have a good time.  We went to all the parties together.  
If I was going on a date you had to go with me - which I did not mind -you are my big bear!
You are always joking, making me laugh, always worry about me.
You  would get mad at me for posting too much and tell me "they were to kill   you - stop posting everything"; 
then i didn't and you would call me and ask me "what is wrong with you why ain't you posting"?  Always taking care of me and looking out for me! 
I love you bro!  I miss you so much - I cannot even express my pain... All I can do is cry but I know you would be telling me "why are you crying - stop crying - is it making you feel better"... 
Bro, you are my angel, I love you so much!!
