Juan is survived by his esposa, Aida C Portillo; his hija Marva Rodriguez (Antonio); his hijo Hector Alberto Portillo (Melinda); his hija Lisa Ann Gutierrez (Manuel); and his hijo Juan Portillo IV; his hermano Jose B Portillo, his hermano Raul B Portillo, his hermano Leopoldo B Portillo and his hermana Carmen Navarro.
