Krystie Mae Klahn was born on October 8, 1985, just 15 minutes before her twin sister, Krystal, in Denver, CO. As a young child, Krystie always excelled academically. As she grew into adolescence, she had been offered numerous scholarships and awards. She ran cross country track in high school, and was part of the marching band at J.M. Hanks High School. Her dream was to become an architect, but life took her down a different path. Krystie was an extremely loving, caring, and thoughtful person..but no one captured her heart like her son. Matthew Raul Gonzalez was the light of her life and she did what she could to be the best mother she could be for him. When she wasn't spending time with her son, she enjoyed shopping with her mom, chatting on the phone with her friends, watching the latest movies, or having a nice quiet night in with a good book. The few times she got to visit Colorado, she enjoyed spending time with her niece, Haylee, and her nephew, Thomas. Although Krystie gained her angel wings earlier than expected, she still touched the lives of many. Her mother, Roxanne, loved Krystie deeply. Her father, Jim, was extremely proud of her accomplishments. Her twin, Krystal, was her other half. Her youngest sister, Kimberly, looked up to her to guide her. Her son, Matthew, was her everything. We love you, Krystie. We are thankful for the short time we got to have you in our lives. Thank you for the memories we all created with you, and your unconditional love. You were truly an amazing person.
