Linda Reed

Linda Reed was called by Our Heavenly Father and passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025. She was born on December 11, 1924, in Delagua, Colorado, a small mining town in Las Animas County Colorado. Linda later moved to El Paso, Texas where she met and later married Billy B Reed Sr. They traveled many places as a military family including Alaska and Germany later settling back in El Paso. Together they raised three children until Billy Sr’s death in 1973.

She was a florist by trade and when Billy Sr retired from the Army, they opened Airport Flower Shop in 1967 where she successfully ran the business for almost 50 years.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 20 years Billy B Reed Sr, siblings Elvira, John and Mary and granddaughter Bridges.

She is survived by her daughter Rowena R Blaquiere (husband Joseph), sons Billy B Reed Jr (wife Laura) and Brian L Reed (wife Priscilla); four grandchildren Jason Blaquiere, Nicholas (wife Kristine) and Alexander Reed and Brittanie Reed-Marion (partner Garret); and 2 great grandchildren Emery Showman and Atlas Reed.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, 2025, and entrusted to Martin Funeral Home-East, 1460 George Dieter 79936 with Visitation from 10:00-12:15 p.m., and a Vigil/Rosary at 11:00 a.m. The funeral mass is at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Assumption Parish 4805 Byron 79930 and a committal service at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
