Manuela Amaro Castro

Manuela Amaro Castro, age 81, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018. She was born September 30, 1936 in El Paso, Texas. Manuela was preceded in death by her spouse Rafael Castro; brothers Jesus Amaro, Lazaro Amaro, Lorenzo Amaro, Juan Amaro, Raymundo Apodaca, Catarino Apodaca, Encarnacion Amaro and sister Ramona Matelyan. Manuela is survived by sons Ricardo Amaro, Rafael Amaro, and David Castro; daughters Magdalena Amaro, Gloria Espinoza, Maria Teresa Canava, and Graciela Castro-Mais; sister Lydia Levine; 33 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation for Manuela will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, with a vigil/rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, June 18, 2018 at 9:00 AM at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Drive. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 South Zaragoza Road.
