Mr. Marcelino Garcia, 86, of El Paso, Texas passed from life to his heavenly home on Friday, December 2, 2022. He was born March 6, 1936 in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua Mexico to the late Jesus Garcia and Eulogia Mendoza. In 1956, Marcelino was united in marriage to the love of his life, the late Antonia Palma de Garcia (1982). He remained true to their love until his passing and now to eternity. Their love brought into this world eight wonderful children Jesus, Lupe, Victor, Sergio, Marisela, George, Laura and Eddie Garcia. He dedicated his life to fatherhood and was fully committed to his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Marcelino was a retired Plant Operations Manager. Through hard work, dedication and commitment, he obtained the Plant Operations Manager position in the exotic leathers’ facility for Tony Lama Boot Company while previously establishing his own boot company in Cd. Juárez, Mexico. He knew all aspects of making the boot to include design. He designed boots under the Tony Lama brand for famous clients. Our amazing father was a self-made businessman, entrepreneur and an excellent chef who learned to work and cook as a young child to help his mother and their household. His father, Jesus Garcia, was an engineer in petrochemics, but passed away when he was 5 months old. From then on, he grew up overcoming all adversities to help our grandmother.
He was an architect of his life and a man of faith who forged his children’s character through his example of hard work, honesty, dedication, commitment, righteousness, love and faith. He was an avid reader, great with numbers, a wonderful storyteller and very artistic. He loved music, dancing, swimming, roller-skating, all sports especially football (soccer), and was excellent at executing them. His humor was second to none and he was very witty; making us laugh so hard that we thoroughly enjoyed this side of him. He especially loved supporting his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting and school events. Nothing made him happier than seeing all their little faces. He loved spoiling them with candy and remained proud of them to the end. Marcelino was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed.
Marcelino was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Palma de Garcia, parents Jesus Garcia and Eulogia Mendoza, stepfather Jesus Morales, brothers Manuel Garcia, Raul Morales, and sister Blanca Correa. He is survived by his brother Juventino Morales, his eight children: Jesus (Irma), Lupe, Victor, Sergio (Veronica), Marisela (Ricardo), George (Michele), Laura (Mario), and Eddie (Vonnie). His 24 grandchildren: Chuyin, Charly, Jacob, Jessie, Mindy, Victor, Javier, Priscilla, Jacqui, Francine, Adriana, Jessi, Sergio, Giovanna, Ricky, Sasha, Bianca, Victor, Christian, Mario, Briana, Britney, Brian and Brandon.
