Marcos V. Saenz

Marcos V. Saenz, 84, was born in Phoenix, AZ and passed away on February 8, 2016 in El Paso, TX. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Salazar; father, Marcos G. Saenz; and brother, Joseph Salazar. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 55 years Tola; daughters, Martha Vargas, Mary Helen De La O (Oscar), and Lisa Saucedo (Oscar); granddaughters, Lorie, Lauren, Jenna, and Brittany; and great grandchildren, Alex Jr. and Mia; sisters, Irene Saenz and Marcella Cucinotti; along with several nephews and nieces. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, AZ. Marcos served his country honorably for 5 years in the US Army and fought in the Korean War. He then served 16 years and retired from the US Airforce with honors. Visitation will be held from 5pm-8pm with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7pm, Monday, February 15, 2016 at Hillcrest Funeral Home–Carolina. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Little Flower Catholic Church-171 Polo Inn. A Committal Service will be held at 2:30pm, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Fort Bliss National. Pallbearers: Oscar De La O, Oscar Saucedo, Joseph Cucinotti, Richard Ybarra, Alex Morales, and Saul Ibarguen. A special thank you to the staff at Del Sol Medical Center CVICU, Dr. Oscar Munoz, Dr. Srinivas Chitti, Dr. Zainul Abedin, Dr. Moeen Abedin and Dr. Onyema Amakiri for all your compassion and care for our dad.
