Maria Margarita Hernandez, age 68 passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Maria was born October 12, 1953 to deceased parents, Juan and Margarita Centeno. Maria was a member of St. Frances Xavier Mother Cabrini Catholic church. She was very devoted to both her faith and to her son. Margarita carried a heavy cross as a single parent to her special needs son. Her daily devotion to praying the rosary kept her strong.
Maria is survived by her son Juan Carlos Hernandez; her brother David Centeno, her brother Moises Centeno and her sister Diana Elizabeth Centeno.
A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A vigil will occur at 5:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 9:00 AM at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, 12200 Vista Del sol Dr., El Paso, TX 79936. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
