Maria Antonieta Quintana, 83, passed on May 7, 2026, having been born on June 13, 1942, and residing in El Paso, Texas. Maria was known for her hearty laugh, kind heart, and unforgettable personality. She was the heart and soul of her family and brought joy, strength, and love to everyone around her. Her laughter, loving spirit, and smart mouth will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She especially adored her grandbabies and loved spending time with each of her children and grandchildren, creating memories they will forever cherish.
Maria loved listening to country music and dancing, and she had a true heart for Texas. She also loved watching sunsets at the beach, finding peace and happiness in life’s simple and beautiful moments. Yellow roses were especially dear to her and always brought a smile to her face.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Michael Olene; her daughters, Susan Mettlen (Anne Flores Mettlen), Jessica Monreal (Esteban Monreal), Melissa Mettlen (Elio Rico), and Christine Mettlen; her grandchildren, Irvin Rico, Tina Rico, Destiney Ann Marie Monreal, Lynette Olene, Lauren Olene, Aubrie Flores Mettlen, Lexie Flores Mettlen and Emmalee Flores Mettlen; and her sister, Olga Jacobs.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn Funeral Home, 8817 Dyer, El Paso, TX 79904, US, on May 14, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Graveside Service will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 8700 Dyer St, El Paso, Texas 79904, on May 15, 2026, at 10:30 am.
