Maria Isabel Sanchez passed away on June 18, 2016. She is survived by her loving family: husband: Joe Luis Sanchez, daughters: Monica Yvette Sanchez and Deborah Denise Morales, son: Jose Luis Sanchez III, brother: Arturo Valenzuela, son-in-law: Angel Morales, grandchildren: Angelique Marie Morales, Andrew Joseph Morales and Annalie Yvette Morales, daughter-in-law: Emily Anne Sanchez..... Nothing can be more beautiful than the love of a mother, and wife whose life centered around her strong faith in God, and deepest love for family. We had the privilege of being a part of her, of sharing and learning from her. Our mother, Maria Isabel Sanchez touched so many lives with patience, generosity, consideration, respect, compassion, and most of all love. All are attributes that we as humans hope to possess and practice in our daily lives. Isabel was that precious human being who lived as an angel on earth, giving willingly, and without prejudice. Strengthened by her faith and will, she surpassed medical expectations. She was told she would never walk, yet not only did she walk but she cared for, and helped raise her sister. She bared three children, cared for her father, and husband and all while serving her church, Our Lady of the Valley as a Eucharistic minister, and Director of Religious Education as well as teacher at the Tepeyac Institute, Diocese of El Paso. There is no counting her worth. Go now sweet and precious mom; fly with your wings earned so long ago. No more pain....only happiness and joy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 5-9 p.m. at Hillcrest with a Vigil to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Our Lady of the Valley at 10:00 a.m. Following Mass Maria Isabel Sanchez will be laid to rest at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina, 598-3332.
