Maria C Silva

Maria C. Silva, 73 of El Paso, Texas passed away on Tuesday April 7, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. Maria was preceeded in death by her parents, Carlos Quinones and Teresa Mitchem. Maria is survived by her husband, Hector Silva , her children Marco Silva and Melanie M. Maldonado (Manny Maldonado), grandchildren Manny Hector, Ileana Maria, Isabella Janet, and Christian Marco. Her siblings are Carlos Quinones, Myrna Lopez, Pete Quinones, and Judy Sundin. Also sharing this sadness were life-long friends Aurora Torres, Lucy Torres and Sandra Cervantes. Maria was a graduate of Bel Air High School, Class of 1971 and the University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in Education. Maria was a teacher in the Clint, El Paso, and Clark County-Las Vegas School Districts. Her many joys including travel, reading and attending movies with her comadre, Boris. She will be missed and remembered.

Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, US, on April 10, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Hillcrest Funeral Home on April 10, 2026, at 7:00 pm.
