Melanie Baize, 61, of El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in the city she called home. Born on November 13, 1963, in El Paso, Melanie lived a life full of love, passion, and purpose, leaving an undeniable mark on everyone she met.
Melanie was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished friend. For over 20 years, she dedicated her life to shaping young minds as a beloved math teacher at Coronado High School. Her passion for education and her ability to connect with her students made her a treasured mentor and role model to many. Beyond the classroom, Melanie and her husband poured their hearts into their Saddle and Buckle Company, a testament to their shared entrepreneurial spirit and love for the Western lifestyle.
Melanie's vibrant personality and love for life were contagious. She had a gift for brightening any room with her warm smile, engaging conversations, and genuine interest in people. Her hobbies reflected her adventurous spirit--she loved team roping, riding horses, and traveling to new places. These activities and travels brought her immense joy and allowed her to create countless cherished memories with her family and friends.
Above all, Melanie's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife and a proud mother to her two children, Wade and Paige Baize, whom she loved unconditionally. Her love and guidance will continue to inspire them throughout their lives.
Melanie is survived by her children, Wade and Paige Baize; her mother, Sylvia Garland; her sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Jim Ruby; her nieces and nephews, Shawn Sipes, April Castro and Tiffany Short; and countless friends and loved ones who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Melanie's life will invite anyone who wants to celebrate her life on February 7th 2025 at 10:00 am at Martin Funeral Home 128 Resler Dr. El Paso, TX 79912, with burial following at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, NM.
