Monica P. Marquez

Monica Marquez born May 4, 1927, went to meet her Savior Jesus Christ on March 31, 2011 at the age of 83. She is preceded in new life by parents Manuel and Guadalupe Padilla, and husband Ramon Marquez. She is survived by seven children: Jose, David, Javier, Luzz, Lupe, Delia, and Maria, 2 son’s in law, 3 daughter’s in law, 5 siblings, 15 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren. She was the pillar that kept her family united through her faith and continuous prayers. She was a nurturing caring individual who never hesitated to help others in need. In fact, many times she overlooked her own struggles to help others. Her sense of humor brightened anyone’s day and her passion for living never ceased. She had a beautiful distinct singing voice and used this gift to minister and praise God daily. She was a woman of endless talents and the wisdom and encouragement she always provided to her family will be greatly missed. Visitation 11-12pm and Funeral Service 12-2pm on April 5, 2011 at F. D. A. Martin-East, 1460 George Dieter, El Paso, TX. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Although our hearts ache tremendously we hold to the faith she instilled in us and will continue her life’s work of witnessing God’s unending love. There will be no more weeping or pain, only peace and joy, she is with the Lord forever; until we meet again.
