Norma Armendariz

Norma Lucille Armendariz passed away peacefully in her home in El Paso Texas on May 9, 2025 with her children by her side. Norma is survived by her loving children, Joe (Margie), Belinda and Charles Armendariz, sisters Pamela Fisher and Tookie Johnson Her grandchildren Joshua Stokes and Tristan Reno (Loghan) and great grandchildren Emorie, Reagan, and Wyatt Reno. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Richard Armendariz daughter, Rebecca Louise Billings, siblings Corrine Maib, Alyce Kelly, Valerie Santucci and Billy Jack Johnson and her parents Sara Knapp, and Carlos Nevarez. She leaves behind many loving extended family members and countless friends who witnessed her life, passions, and career. Norma was born in Silver City New Mexico and was raised in El Paso Texas. She graduated from Austin High School and Hotel Dieu School of Nursing. She practiced nursing at Hotel Dieu Hospital, El Paso Doctors Hospital and Vista Hills Health Care Center over a span of 30 years. Norma enjoyed spending time with family and friends, laughter and music. She touched the hearts of many throughout her life and will forever be missed.

A visitation for Norma will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A rosary will occur Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 7:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar, El Paso, Texas 79925. A graveside will occur Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
