Pablo Delgado, Jr., age 74, of El Paso, TX passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. He was born in El Paso, TX on July 31, 1948. He graduated from El Paso High School, attended University of Texas at El Paso, and received an Associate of Science Degree from Los Angeles Trade Technical College. He was married to Maria Elva Rivas on October 16, 1977. Pablo worked as a Service Representative for Social Security Administration for 20 years. He was a member of Santa Teresita Catholic Church and had a passion for traveling, reading and following the stock market. He is survived by Maria Elva Delgado, wife; Melinda Murphy, daughter; Dr. Paul M. Delgado, son; Ben Murphy, son in law, Sarah S. Delgado, daughter in law; Alexys Murphy, granddaughter, Mateo Murphy, grandson; Diego Delgado, grandson; and Flora Delgado, granddaughter; Amelia Delgado, sister; Dr. Hung Vu, brother in law; Maria Delgado, sister; Jaime Parra, brother in law; Carlos Delgado, brother; Julie Delgado, sister in law; Santiago Rivas, brother in law; Maria Emma Rivas, sister in law. Nieces and nephews: Amanda Monarez, Alejandro Monarez, Jacob Delgado, Christopher Vu, Carlos Roberto Delgado, Ruben Rivas, Ricardo Rivas, and Jacqueline Rivas.
He was devoted to his family, to his country and often did volunteer work to feed low-income families. His example of honesty, faith, and love will live with us forever.
Funeral arrangements will be held as follows: February 7, 2023: Visitation from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Rosary Service at 6:00 pm, both at Martin Funeral Home, 128 Resler, El Paso, TX 79912. Funeral Mass will be held at Santa Teresita Catholic Church, 3400 Zapal, El Paso, TX 79922 at 11:30 on February 8, 2023, followed by a graveside service at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson, El Paso, TX 79906 at 1:00 PM.
