She spent 47 years as a teacher and director at Western Hills United Methodist Day School, now known as Western Hills Academy, where she made many life-long friends. Peggy retired in August of 2014 and spent several years taking care of her husband.

Mom loved anything chocolate, sunflowers, and her happy hour Scotch (two fingers, a splash of water, and ice) with Dad and their friends Rex and Ellen Miller. Even after the Millers left El Paso, they would connect on Facetime and have lively conversations at 5:00 p.m.
The family wishes to thank the doctors at Texas Oncology for the care they gave mom in her last months. We also would like to thank Virginia, Judith, Tonya, and Maite from Home Instead who did everything to make her last days as enjoyable and comfortable as possible
Mom requested no services or memorials, only that she be cremated and her ashes be scattered along with her husband’s ashes, which will be private. If you would like to make a donation to a charity in her name, mom supported Public TV in El Paso/Las Cruces
