Ramon Luna, age 90, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on April 26, 1935, Ramon was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose steady presence and faithful spirit will be deeply missed. He resided in Canutillo, Texas.
Ramon was an Army veteran for a short period of time and later worked as a public transportation bus driver until his retirement. He carried himself with quiet dignity and took pride in providing for his family through years of honest work and responsibility.
A devout Christian, Ramon lived his faith with sincerity and reverence. His beliefs guided his life and shaped the way he cared for others, offering constancy, compassion, and strength to those around him.
Ramon shared a loving life with his spouse, Juanita Luna. He especially loved spending time with his children, and he was known for being the fun grandpa—always ready to play, be silly, and bring laughter to family gatherings. His warmth and joyful spirit created memories that will be cherished for generations.
Ramon was preceded in death by his father, Amalio Luna; his mother, Beatris Ochoa; his brothers, Fabian Luna and Hector "Tito" Luna; and his sisters, Celia Luna, Carolina Luna, and Elvira "Pina" Torres; and his son, Edward Ponce.
He is survived by his spouse, Juanita Luna; his sister, Guadalupe Luna; his children, Albert Luna, Rosemary Zuniga, Martha Diaz, Ramon Luna Jr., and Sophia Sagastume. Mr. Luna also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest West, 5054 Doniphan Drive, El Paso, TX 79932, on March 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Interment will take place at Memorial Pines Cemetery, 3061 Mem Pnes Rd, Sunland Park, NM 88063, on March 25, 2026, at 11:30 am.
