Raquel Reyes

Raquel Reyes, 79, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. She was born in Smelter, El Paso County, Texas. Raquel was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. She is retired from Thomason Hospital Family Planning Services after 31 years of serving her community. Raquel is preceded in death by her parents: Agustin Cordova and Consuelo Montenegro Cordova, and sister: Julia Vasquez. Raquel is survived by her sons: Rey Jesus Cordova, Santiago Benavides, Arturo Benavides, Miguel Benavides, Benny Benavides, daughters: Yolanda Tinajero, Velia Cordova, Teresa Ponce, brothers: Ricardo Cordova, Agustin Cordova Jr., Rey Roberto Cordova, sisters: Isabel Ickes, Alicia Varela, Estela Peregrino, Victoria Cecilia Hernandez and Maria Socorro Carrillo, 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. Pallbearers: Rey Jesus Cordova, Santiago Benavides, Arturo Benavides, Miguel Benavides, Benny Benavides, Alfonso Tinajero, Tomas Ponce and Ruben Lucero, Honorary Pallbearers: Alfonso Tinajero Jr., and Benny Tinajero. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina with Prayer Service at 6:00 PM and Vigil at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 19, 2015 at 9:30 AM at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
